Future groups can be cancelled if there are no registrations, or less than 3. Support groups work best when there are others. Sorry for any future inconveniences.

Frequently asked questions

What is Crossroads Journey Through Grief ?

At Crossroads Journey Through Grief, we understand that navigating the complexities of grief can often leave individuals feeling lost and overwhelmed. Life can feel chaotic, especially in times of loss, as we encounter different paths that pull us in various directions. Each person has their own unique journey through grief, and it can be challenging to find solace on that path alone. That's why our community is dedicated to supporting one another, providing a safe space to share experiences and emotions. Together, we find strength in our stories and learn to embrace the healing process. No one has to walk this journey alone; we are here to walk alongside you, offering compassion, understanding, and hope as we traverse the crossroads of grief together.

How does your product/service work?

At our organization, we recognize the profound challenges that come with experiencing grief and loss, navigating daily stress, and coping with the complexities of divorce and other life transitions. To support individuals facing these difficulties, we offer peer-led support groups that foster a sense of community and understanding. In these gatherings, participants engage in storytelling, sharing their experiences and insights to create a space of hope and guidance. Our goal is to empower each member to find solace in connection, as we feed off each other’s strength and resilience. Together, we cultivate a supportive environment where healing can begin, helping individuals move forward with renewed courage and perspective.

How often can I register for a group session?

You can register for every group meeting if you wanted to! There is no limit on how many groups you can attend. There are however, limited seats available for each group to provide a more intimate experience for the individuals attending. To register please go to the Crossroads Meeting tab.

How can I contact you?

Our contact number and email can be found on the resources tab in the upper left corner. You can contact us by email anytime and by phone during 10:00-5:30pm.

Why are you holding meetings at public libraries?

Public libraries serve as ideal venues for our support groups, as they provide private meeting rooms that foster a comfortable and inclusive atmosphere. We have observed that hosting meetings in churches can unintentionally convey a religious perspective, which may not resonate with everyone attending. It is essential that participants feel secure and understood in their time of grief, without the pressure of religious undertones. By choosing the neutral setting of a library, we aim to create a space where individuals from all backgrounds can gather, share their experiences, and support one another in their healing journey without any external influences.

Will there be more groups held other than every other Tuesday?

In the near future, we are excited to announce that we will be expanding our support groups to address specific topics, including suicide, loss of a spouse, loss of a child, and domestic violence. These focused groups aim to provide a safe and compassionate environment for individuals navigating through their unique experiences. Additionally, we plan to host multiple meetings each week, creating more opportunities for connection and support. This expansion will be made possible as we recruit more volunteers who are dedicated to helping others heal and find solace in their journeys. We believe that these efforts will significantly enhance our community's ability to cope and thrive in the face of adversity.
